Excellence Awards 2010

Barnsley College held their annual Excellence Awards Ceremony on Thursday 24th June at the Metrodome, Barnsley. The awards ceremony was a celebration of the success of both students and staff over the last academic year and recognised students from across all College departments.There was a total of 25 award winners on the night and friends and family joined together with College staff, sponsors and VIPs including the Deputy Lieutenant and The Worshipful the Mayor of Barnsley to recognise the outstanding achievements of the students and staff throughout the year.



Susan Fryer was the big winner on the night after she picked up the overall Achievement Award as well as the Skills for Life and Work Award. The overall Achievement Award was a surprise award handed out on the night and  recognised Susan’s outstanding contribution to College life. She has been a true inspiration to fellow students and the nomination received from staff was extremely compelling. Susan is a fine example for all students and staff alike and was truly deserving of the overall award.
