As part of the Aimhigher project, the College is looking for motivated, enthusiastic and reliable students to become Student Ambassadors.
What will I have to do?
You might want to:
· Help at College events: Year 11 Open Evenings, Aimhigher activities, Department events, Parents Evenings or Shows.
· Represent the College at external events: School Parents Evenings, Department talks in Schools, Careers Events.
· Share your College experiences with school pupils and parents.
· Help with group work activities in Schools.
· Offer support to school pupils on an individual basis.
What will I get out of it?
· It looks great on your Personal Statement for University applications.
· It shows you are reliable, can communicate with others, able to work on your own initiative and with others.
· You will make new friends and have fun.
· You will be supporting your College.
· Certificates for your portfolio.
· Use the hours to claim recognition from nationally recognised Volunteering programmes.
· Full training and support will be given.
How much time will I have to give?
· As much time as you have free!
· Being a Student Ambassador is flexible, it can fit around your studies, social and work commitments.
· You choose and decide which events and activities you can do.
· You can become an Ambassador at anytime throughout the year.
