When and how will I study?

These are flexible programmes which take place in the Skills for Life Department at the Old Mill Lane Site.  You can study literacy/ numeracy or both.  The level will depend on your initial assessment and you will ideal be aiming to take and pass Level 2. It is 2.5 hours per week per subject.

What subject areas will I study?

Your individual learning programme will state the areas of Maths/ English you wish to work on. 

What equipment will I need? 

You will require writing materials and a ring binder.

How will I be assessed?

Your progress is continually assessed and is dependent upon your chosen areas of study.  Your individual learning programme will be reviewed between you and your tutor on a regular basis. 

What qualification will I achieve?

Adult Literacy/Numeracy Qualification at level 1 or 2

Where can I go from here?

On completion of these programmes, you may wish to progress to other College programmes in either this area or another area of study.
