Course Content

You will study a Diploma in work-based Animal Care, Emergency First Aid (a one-day course approved by the Health and Safety Executive) and Employee Rights and Responsibilities where you will complete a Lantra Workbook to ensure you receive all the information you need. Pathways include:

• Animal care and welfare
• Zoos/wildlife establishments
• Dog grooming
• Pet care and retail
• Animal training

What can I do next?

Employment – This course can lead to employment as a Kennel or Cattery Worker, Pet Shop Worker, Dog Groomer and other related roles.

Education – You will be able to progress to an Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship in Animal Care with College.
