Entry Requirements
- 5 GCSEs at Grade A* to C including English Language and preferably Art or Graphics
Plus Good personal reference demonstrating acceptable level of attendance and commitment to hard work
Course Content
You gain an AS Level after successfully completing Year 1, you will be awarded a full A Level after successfully completing Year 2.
Year 1
This course is divided into four units taken over two years. The first is the development of coursework/portfolio exemplifying work carried out during the AS course including the following:
• Communication
• Computer Graphics
• Illustration
• Advertising & Packaging
• Film, Television, Animation and/or Video
• Web Design
• Digital Photography
Year 2
In the second year students complete a personal investigation in which candidates develop work in response to ideas, an issue, concept or theme of their choice
NB: This is an Art A Level and cannot be taken alongside A Level Fine Art.
Student Work
Our Art students are often commissioned to carry out work for companies and local organisations. The quality of work produced is often outstanding and the experience and knowledge gained by the students is priceless. Such projects are powerful additions to their CVs and portfolios of work when looking to progress to university or gain employment within the industry.

University courses in graphic design or employment in the graphic design industry. Careers include: Web Design, Desk Top Publishing as well as the chance to freelance.
