What subject areas will I study?
The award is all about awareness of risks within the salon environment. You will be learning the different responsibilities under Health and Safety legislations and regulations. The subjects covered are:
- Health and Safety legislations/regulations
- Employer/employee responsibilities in Health and Safety
- Awareness of hazards and risks in the salon
- Personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Security in the salon
- Hygiene and personal presentation
What equipment will I need?
There is no equipment required for this specific course.
You will be required to bring stationary to each lesson such as pens, pencils, A4 paper and folder.
How will I be assessed?
You will take on online test at the end of the course. This must be achieved to gain the qualification.
What qualifications might I achieve?
City and Guilds Level 2 Award in Health and Safety Practice in the Salon
