Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs at Grade A* to C including English Language and Maths
or Level 2 Apprenticeship in Bricklaying
plus Employed or written offer of employment in construction
plus Successful Construction Skills assessment
The programme is offered as an Apprenticeship and involves four days a week working in a construction environment and one day attendance at College. The Bricklaying qualification provides you with the knowledge and skills needed to work in a bricklaying environment. These include decorative brickwork in both design and build such as:
- Various arches
- Dental courses
- Bulls eyes
- Projections
You will complete NVQ Level 3 as well as an additional qualification in the Abrasive Wheels Certificate.
What can I do next?
Employment - This course can form the foundations for future work as a Bricklayer.
Education - This is a bridge course to allow access to university study; many students continue along this route. The management element of the course allows successful learners to progress onto a Level 3 management qualification.
