Course Content

This course will help towards becoming a fully qualified tradesperson. In your first year you will complete the Level 1 Construction Diploma in Brickwork followed by the Level 2 Construction Diploma in Brickwork in your second year. You will also need to undertake an NVQ whilst in employment to achieve this. This course is aimed at young people who are looking towards gaining employment within the industry. The course includes:

  • Scaffolding – bricklaying
  • Setting out an elementary building
  • Complex brick and block work walling
  • Concreting to basic slabs
  • Preparing background surfaces
  • Maintaining the building environment

What can I do next?

Employment - This course can form the foundations for future work as a Bricklayer.

Education - You could continue with higher level qualifications, such as a Level 3 Construction programme.
