Course Content

You gain an AS Level after successfully completing Year 1, you will be awarded a full A Level after successfully completing Year 2.

Year 1 At AS level you will look at planning and financing a business as well as managing a business. Marketing, Finance, People and Operations are all examined.

This course covers all aspects of running a business, so whether you are looking at being an entrepreneur or an employee in the future, it will certainly benefit you.

As part of the course a range of businesses are examined, from small local firms to international businesses.

Year 2 The A2 level builds on this knowledge and looks at strategies for success, the business environment and managing change. Opportunities to visit local and overseas companies to see the concepts covered in real life situations are available.

Assessment
Assesment is through examination using a range of techniques from report writing to essay questions.

Progression

Most successful students in the subject want to pursue the subject at degree level. Career opportunities are vast, from public sector administration, marketing and retail, teaching and accountancy. There is also the option to start your own business.
