Course Content
This is a Foundation Learning course which allows you to discover and develop skills to care for children. You will explore subjects such as leisure activities for children and adults, healthy eating and health needs and responsibilities of new parents. This course can also support you in preparing for the “next steps” either in training or moving towards the world of work. You will also learn about:
- Play and learning in the home
- Respecting and valuing children
- Confidence building for the young child through play

Employment - This course can lead to employment working with young children
Education - This course can form the foundations for future study, you could continue with higher level qualifications, including Level 1 CACHE Award/Certificate in Caring for Children.
