Course Content
This course is designed to encourage your understanding of the skills required to care for children. You will study topics such as children’s play and leisure activities in the community, human growth and development and sharing learning experiences with young children. It can also support you in preparing for the “next steps” either in training or moving towards the world of work. Units include:
- Managing own money and self development
- Healthy living
- Preparing for your next steps

Employment - This course can form the foundations for future study or work with young children
Education - You could continue with higher level qualifications, including; Level 2 CACHE Award/Certificate/Diploma in Childcare, Apprenticeship in Childcare or a Level 2 Qualification in Health and Social Care.
