When and how will I study?
There are three 6 week programmes, which are available at the College. The first commencing in October 2010 and then one in January 2011 and a third in April 2011 at the Old Mill Lane Site, between 1600-1830 hours. It is offered at three levels to give progression and help you to develop your culinary skills.
This is a practical hands-on cooking programme.
What subject areas will I study?
The programme covers basic cookery skills, plus savoury and sweet items, in order to develop an interest in cookery.It also enables you to meet others with a similar interest.
Dishes included in for example in Part 1;
Real Italian Pizzas; Yorkshire food, Mexican, Indian, Thai cooking, Party Food, Pasta, even Fish & Chips!
What equipment will I need?
All equipment, ingredients and protective clothing will be provided. The completed dishes can also be taken home.
How will I be assessed?
No formal assessment is made, but you are provided one-to-one feedback and guidance by a professional chef.
What qualification might I achieve?
A College Certificate of Attendance is awarded on completion of the programme.
