Course Content
This course specialises in professional craft bakery and confectionery techniques. You will perfect skills in preparing and producing dough and bread products, preparing and decorating celebration cakes, chocolate decoration and the preparation and production of confectionary. The programme allows the possibility for industry visits, residential trips and work placements. You will also achieve:
- ABC Cake Decoration
- CIEH Award in Food Safety
What can I do next?
Employment - You could gain employment within the bakery industry as a craft baker, cake decorator or pastry chef or within the hospitality industry as a pastry chef.
Education - You could progress to the Level 3 Advanced Bakery Skills or a City and Guilds 7100 Professional Cookery (Patisserie & Confectionery).
