Course Content

This course aims to introduce you to the basics of working in the exciting area of media production including television, audio and games. You will get the chance to broadcast on Barnsley College Television, Barnsley College Radio and in the USA via Harbor College Television based in Los Angeles. You will also learn:

  • Video/TV production (Barnsley College TV)
  • Audio production (Barnsley College Radio)
  • Games production
  • Digital media e.g. web design and animation

Employment - This course can form the foundations for future study and work in this industry.

Education - You could progress onto an Extended Diploma course at Barnsley College in an area of Media such as Games Development, Television and Film or Interactive Media if you achieve a Merit grade in your Diploma. Lots of students who take this course progress to university.
