  • 5 GCSEs at Grade A* to C including English Language and preferably Dance (but not essential)
    plus Dance experience essential
    plus You will be required to pass an audition
    plus Good personal reference demonstrating acceptable level of attendance and commitment to hard work

Course Content

This course will focus on the areas of:
• Dancer as a performer: practical techniques to enhance performance
• The process and craft of choreography
• Dance appreciation: study of the professional live and recorded dance works

Assessment
Written and practical coursework
Unit 1: Final written examination comprising of questions on the above
Unit 2: Practical coursework - A solo dance and duo or trio dance

Progression

A qualification in Dance can lead to a number of opportunities in Higher Education.
