What will I study?
The course is aimed primarily at adults wishing to gain confidence and extending their knowledge of painting and drawing and who are considering applying for a future adult offer in further and higher education.
The course however is not exclusive for those wishing to progress to higher education but is also for those who simply enjoy the creative freedom of this discipline.
You will be shown over a 15 week period (2 hours a week) a variety of techniques and a basic introduction to the formal elements of painting and drawing including, line, colour, texture, form, perspective and many others. You will also experiment with a number of media materials ranging from pencil, charcoal, acrylics, and oil and water based mediums to produce original artwork which can then be showcased in our annual Excellence Show at the end of the year.
After completion of the course there may be the opportunity to enrol onto an intermediate course (15 weeks) or a diploma course (1 year minimum).
Programme costs
The course will cost a total of £250 (FULL FEE PAYABLE)
