Course Content

The programme offers thorough study of electrical engineering including business and computer systems, mathematics and communications for technicians plus engineering and electronic principles. You will study health, safety and risk assessments plus you will complete a Level 2 NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations which is a workshop based qualification. Areas of study include:

• Programmable logic controllers
• Electronic devices and circuits
• Electrical installation technology and applications
• Analogue electronics
• Microprocessor systems and applications
• Three-phase motors and drives

What can I do next?

Employment - This course can form the foundations for future work as an Electrician and other related roles.

Education - You could continue with higher level qualifications such as a BEng Degree or Higher National Diploma in Engineering.
