Course Content

The programme is offered as an Apprenticeship and involves four days a week working in an engineering or construction environment and one day attendance at College. You will learn:

  • How to read and interpret drawing, blueprints and electrical code specifications
  • Installing, examining, replacing or repairing electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes and conduits
  • Testing electrical and electronic equipment and components

What can I do next?

Employment - This course can form the foundations for future study and work as an Electrician and other related roles.

Education - You could continue with higher level qualifications such as a foundation degree or Advanced Apprenticeship.
