Course Content

The content of this course is aimed at preparing you for an Apprenticeship and also to act as the Technical Certificate for an Apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance and Technical Services. You will study a range of engineering units including:

  • Science and Maths for technicians
  • Manufacturing systems technology
  • Engineering materials and design
  • CNC machining
  • Mechanical principles
  • Computer aided design

Practical workshop units are covered in the NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations which runs alongside this qualification.

Education - Many students progress onto higher level qualifications such as a National Certificate.
