Course Content

The programme offers thorough study of engineering including health and safety, communications and Science and Maths for technicians. You will study a range of engineering units that will gibe you the skills and techniques you will need including:

• Computer aided design
• Manufacturing systems technology
• Engineering materials and design
• CNC machining
• Mechanical principles

Practical workshop units are covered in the NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations which runs alongside this qualification.

What can I do next?

Employment - This course can form the foundations for future study and work in this industry.

Education - Many students progress onto higher level qualifications such as a BEng Degree or Higher National Diploma in Engineering.
