Course Content

You will produce a portfolio of design work including a sample folder of techniques, pattern cutting work and a small catwalk collection. You will also get the chance to go on educational and gallery visits. Units of study may include:

• Drawing development and design method
• Historical and contextual studies
• Pattern cutting and development
• Fashion marketing
• Computers in art and design
• Design realisation

What can I do next?

Employment - This course can form the foundations for future study and work as a Fashion Designer, Entrepreneur or other related occupations.

Education - You could progress to study a variety of fashion and textiles, art, design and crafts disciplines at either Degree or Higher National Diploma Level.
