Course Content

You will attend College three days per week and attend a work placement for one days a week. As part of the course you will contribute to the effective running of the salon, which involves maintaining health, safety and security of the salon environment. You will study units which include:

  • Consult with and advise clients
  • Provide hair and scalp treatment services
  • Perming techniques
  • Cut and colour hair to create a variety of fashion looks
  • Style hair using a variety of fashion techniques

Employment - This course can form the foundations for future work in this industry.

Education - You can progress onto a higher level qualification such as Level 3 NVQ in Hairdressing.
