Where, When and how will I study?
Tuesday and Wednesday evening commencing 13th September 2011 for 34 weeks
6.00pm-9.00pm at the Old Mill Lane site
What subject areas will I study?
The course is for Level 1 learners wishing to develop their hairdressing career further. The course covers many aspects of hairdressing, including cutting, colouring, blow drying, setting, dressing long hair.
Learners will take part in various competitions in and out of the college which will then open up more job opportunities upon completion.
What equipment will I need?
Full Hairdressing Kit, full uniform and stationery
How will I be assessed?
Test papers to complete throughout the course and practical Assessments to complete for each unit.
What qualifications might I achieve?
NVQ level 2 in hairdressing
Where can I go from here?
Progression on to NVQ level 3 hairdressing
16 – 18 year olds
Full-time Barnsley College student’s 16-18 years old do not have to pay tuition fees.
Student Finance
