Course Content

As part of this course you will attend College one afternoon per week. The majority of the practical based activity will take place in your working environment. You will also be required to complete the following: Emergency First Aid Training and NPTC Spraying Certificate PA1 and PA6A plus an LANTRA employees responsibility workbook. This course can be studied through one of four options:

  • Sportsturf, greenkeeper or groundsperson 
  • Parks and gardens
  • Landscaping 
  • Production horticulture

Learners will need to be working in a supervisory position, carrying out roles and responsibilities in different areas. 

What can I do next?

Employment – Learners can set up their own business or find suitable employment within the industry as a Landscaper, Gardener, Estate Worker, and Nursery Production Operative.

Education – On successful completion of this course learners can move onto higher education HND / Degree in Horticulture
