What will I study?
The course is aimed primarily at adults wishing to gain confidence and extending their knowledge of Silversmithing and who are considering applying for a future adult offer in further and higher education.
The course however is not exclusive for those wishing to progress to higher education but is also for those who simply enjoy the creative freedom of this discipline.
You will be shown over a 15 week period (2 hours a week) a variety of techniques and a basic introduction to Silversmithing and jewellery which will enable you to improve and develop your skills in producing your own personal jewellery. This will include an introduction to different techniques utilised within the industry and will include working with both silver and copper materials in the specialised college workshop.
After completion of the course there may be the opportunity to enrol onto an intermediate course (15 weeks) or a diploma course (1 year minimum).
Programme costs
The course will cost a total of £250 (FULL FEE PAYABLE)
