or Level 2 Apprenticeship in Joinery

Employed or written offer of employment in construction

Course Content

The programme is offered as an Apprenticeship and involves four days per week training in a construction environment and one day attendance at College. This will involve:

  • Using traditional wood-working tools
  • Using specialised power or hand tools 
  • Cutting, shaping, smoothing and finishing 
  • Follow drawings, plans and written or spoken instructions
  • Complex joinery work such as roofing, dorma windows and bay windows.

What can I do next?

Employment - This course can form the foundations for future work as a Joiner.  

Education -
You could continue with higher level qualifications. The management element of the course allows successful learners to progress onto a Level 3 management qualification.
