There are 2 options currently available on this programme, which cover the following areas:

Option 1 - Nursery
•    Health and Safety
•    Working Relationships
•    Propagation of Plants
•    Establishing and Maintaining Plants Outdoors
•    Establishing and Maintaining Plants in a Protected Environment
•    Maintaining Equipment and Machines

Option 2 - Decorative Horticulture
•    Health and Safety
•    Working Relationships
•    Establishing and Maintaining Plants Outdoors
•    Maintaining Fine Amenity Turf
•    Establishing and Maintaining Decorative Amenity Areas
•    Maintaining Equipment and Machines

What equipment will I need?

You will require safety boots and other appropriate outdoor clothing

How will I be assessed?

Assessment throughout the programme will be continuous.  It will consist of both observation of work activities (at College and in the workplace), as well as written and oral tests of underpinning knowledge.

What qualification might I achieve?

Amenity Horticulture Diploma Level 2.  You may also achieve the Emergency First Aid in the Workplace Certificate.
