Course Content

This course is designed for learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The programme is designed to help you prepare for independent living and progression into supported or voluntary employment. You will take part in voluntary work and work experience plus look at how to apply for jobs and develop your interview skills. Other areas include:

  • Art and Design
  • Catering
  • Horticulture
  • Sport 
  • Woodwork
  • Working in a café, shop or warehouse
  • Working outdoors
  • Working in retail/customer service skills
  • Functional Skills (English, Maths, ICT)

What can I do next?

Employment - This course is intended to prepare you for independent living and future employment of either paid or voluntary nature.

Education - You could continue to work towards higher level qualifications.
