Course Content

This course looks at Mathematics in a real world context with less manipulative algebra skills required than AS Level Mathematics.
• Working With Algebraic and Graphical Techniques: Fitting functions to data, interpreting models, using algebraic techniques, using computers and calculators
• Applying Mathematics: Understanding how mathematics can be used in different situations.

• Modelling With Calculus: Understanding and using differentiation, integration and differential equations, using computers and calculators.

• Using and Applying Statistics: Exploring and describing data, using distributions to make sense of data, correlation and regression, drawing conclusions and thinking critically, using computers and calculators.

Assessment

Assessment is through examination and coursework.
