plus A good example of coursework or practical experience in music technology will be considered
plus You will be required to pass an audition
Course Content
On this course you will learn how to create and market a music product, develop your listening skills and be introduced to acoustics. You will look at modern and pop music in practice as well as music technology in performance. You will spend a large amount of time in the recording studios helping to develop your engineering and production skills. There will be opportunities for you work on real live projects including location and studio based client work. Units will include areas such as:
- Music and sounds for multimedia
- Music sequencing
- Operating live sound
- Composing music
- Music theory and harmony
- Singing and keyboards
What can I do next?
Employment - This course can form the foundations for future work in this industry. Ex-students have gained employment as Studio Recording Engineers, Live Sound Engineers and Television Composers while others have performed at Download, Glastonbury and Leeds Festivals.
Education - You could progress to university to further develop your skills and knowledge of this area.
