Course Content

This course will teach you the required skills to enter employment in the industry at trainee level. You will also need to undertake an NVQ whilst in employment to achieve this. In your first year you will complete the Level 1 Construction Diploma in Painting and Decorating followed by the Level 2 Construction Diploma in Painting and Decorating in your second year. This course includes:

  • Decorating specialist paint finishes (basic)
  • Erect and dismantle basic working platforms
  • Prepare the work area and surfaces
  • Apply paint materials by brush and roller
  • Apply standard wallpapers to non-complex surface areas
