Course Content

This course is aimed at learners who wish to progress their skills to a higher level. Areas studied include:

• Erecting and dismantling access platforms e.g. scaffolding
• Contributing to the planning, organisation, monitoring, control and evaluation of operational activities
• Maintaining working conditions and operational activities to meet quality standards
• Establishing a workstation e.g. preparing a work area
• Preparing backgrounds and applying surface finish
• Producing specialist finishes e.g. marble and graining

What can I do next?

Employment - This course can form the foundations for future work as a Painter and Decorator.

Education - You could continue with higher level qualifications. The management element of the course allows successful learners to progress onto a Level 3 management qualification.
