You will study mechanical engineering and fabrication and welding. These areas offer a broad foundation in engineering which includes, health and safety, communicating technical information and engineering materials. There is also an opportunity to study Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and Computer Aided Design (CAD). You will also study:

• Marking out
• Fitting
• Machining
• Maths

Education - You could continue onto the Engineering Advanced Diploma which is a Level 3 vocationally related Certificate in Engineering that follows two optional routes, Mechanical Engineering or Fabrication and Welding.
