2 GCSEs at Grade A* to C including English Language and Maths
or Level 2 Apprenticeship in Plastering
plus Employed or written offer of employment in construction
plus Successful Construction Skills assessment
Course Content
The programme is offered as an Apprenticeship and involves four days a week working in a construction environment and one day attendance at College. You will learn:
- Correct method of cutting and fixing plasterboard
- Preparation of surfaces, in readiness to receive backing plasters, sand/cement and other Gypsum based plasters
- Application of plaster to damp-proofed areas
- Silicon injected and Bitumen based products
You will complete NVQ Level 3.
What can I do next?
Employment- This course can form the foundations for future work as a Plasterer.
Education- You could continue with higher level qualifications. The management element of the course allows successful learners to progress onto a Level 3 management qualification.
