Course Content

This is a practical qualification in horticulture, covering various interesting topics. It is designed for those who want to get their hands dirty without all of the written work which comes with other more academic qualifications. You will study four core units plus a range of optional units:

• Prepare grounds for seeding and planting
• Plant container grown subjects
• Apply organic mulch to a bed or border
• Water a bed, border or area of plants in containers, using hand held equipment

What can I do next?

Employment - This course can lead to employment as an Assistant Landscaper or Assistant Groundsman amoungst other related roles

Education - You could progress to higher level qualifications with the College. On successful completion of this course you could progress to Level 2 Diploma in Horticulture or the Level 2 Apprenticeship
