2 GCSEs at Grade A* to C and GCSE English Language at Grade A* to D
plus Good personal standard of health and fitness level
All students on this programme will be subject to a satisfactory CRB (Criminal Record Bureau) check.
Course Content
You will develop your public services skills and improve your health and fitness ready for entry into the uniformed public services. You will also look at your career options and employment opportunities. Examples of course content include:
- Land navigation by map and compass
- Law and its impact on the individual
- Crime and its effect on society
What can I do next?
Employment - This qualification is designed to offer you the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and understanding that will prepare you for entry into employment at a trainee level within the public services.
Education - You could continue to work towards higher level qualifications. With at least a Merit/Distinction profile, you can progress onto the Extended Diploma in Public Services or the NCFE Level 3 Diploma for Entry to the Uniformed Services.
