Every unit and qualification in the framework will have a credit value. The credit value of a unit specifies the number of credits that will be awarded to a learner who has achieved the learning outcomes of the unit.
The credit value of a unit is based on:
- One credit = 10 hours of learning time
- Learning time – defined as the time taken by learners on average, to complete the learning outcomes of the unit to the standard determined by the assessment criteria. Learning time should address all learning (including assessment) relevant to the learning outcomes.
When and how will I study?
You will be required to attend weekly (6 hours). The number of weeks will be dependent upon the units chosen. Study methods will include lectures, individual & group work, discussion, problem-solving & case studies.
How will I be assessed?
A range of appropriate assessment methods will be used, examples of which are: work related written assignments (typically 5000 words max), presentations (individual & group) and personal reflection. Guidance will be given throughout the programme to assist you.
