Course Content

This course will prepare you for entry into the uniformed service of your choice.  It will help you to develop aspects of physical fitness and refine your leadership skills.  You will also:

  • Learn about legal implications of physical actions
  • Carry out advanced map reading and navigation across open country
  • Demonstrate an understanding of current affairs
  • Assist in planning and leading adventurous activities
  • Prepare for emergency situations

What can I do next?

Employment - This qualification is designed to enable you to enter careers within administrative, professional or management pathways offered by the uniformed public services i.e. Army, Navy, Royal Air Force, Fire, Police and Prison Service.

Education - You could continue to work towards higher level qualifications.
