Course Content

This course will teach you the required skills to enter employment in the industry at trainee level. You will also need to undertake an NVQ whilst in employment to achieve this. This course has become a growth area within the industry as more people are becoming self-employed. In your first year you will complete the Level 1 Construction Diploma in Wall and Floor Tiling followed by the Level 2 Construction Diploma in Wall and Floor Tiling in your second year. This course includes:

  • Erect and dismantle working platforms
  • Set out for tiling installation
  • Prepare background surfaces
  • Position and finish wall and floor tiles to surfaces
  • Repair and maintain wall and floor tiling
  • Lay screeding for floor tiling

Employment - This course can form the foundations for future work as a Tiler.

Education - You could continue with higher level qualifications.
