Course Content
This course will teach you the required skills to enter employment in the industry at trainee level. You will also need to undertake an NVQ whilst in employment to achieve this. In your first year you will complete the Level 1 Construction Diploma in Wood Occupations followed by the Level 2 Construction Diploma in Wood Occupations in your second year where you will also specialise in either bench or site joinery. This course includes:
- Produce products from wood materials
- Install finishing components
- Install structural fabric components
- Provide dimensional positioning
- Maintain the built environment e.g. replacing defective components

Employment - This course can form the foundations for future work in the wood construction industry.
Education - You could continue with higher level qualifications or progress to the Advanced Apprenticeship.
