We are a friendly, supportive and performance-focussed team and we understand that whilst work is a fundamental part of life that can give you purpose and fulfilment, a healthy work-life balance is vital for getting the best performance from our team.
Time off work: All of our Teaching Staff receive 55 days of annual leave whilst Support and Management Staff receive 47 days. We know this time is vital for you to recharge, get the very most from life away from your job and bring your best self to work.
Flexible working: We understand that life can be complex and so we encourage candidates and current colleagues to talk to us about flexible working options. This could include thinking creatively about the hours and/or days you work, job share schemes or your place of work. Feel free to talk to us about flexible working options during the recruitment process as there are various ways we might be able to support you.
Family friendly policies: Including enhanced maternity and parental leave.
Time when you need it: We endeavour to support team members who have caring commitments and we can provide help to those who need time to manage emergencies and unexpected life events.
Volunteering days: College staff are offered 2 annual days to support their local community through fundraising or work to support a charity.

You’ll have your own personal development plan: Our commitment to ‘Transforming Lives’ extends to our staff. We understand that it’s only by encouraging you to develop your individual skills that we will realise your full potential.
Job related training and development: all staff are encouraged to develop their skills for career progression. We support our teaching staff to achieve a recognised teaching qualification.
We respect staff as individuals: And we celebrate the diverse mix of backgrounds and experiences they contribute to our College community.
We live by our values: Everything we do must deliver on our core values of Transforming Lives and delivering excellence to our students. This is also central to our recruitment policy too; we recruit colleagues who embody our values and will commit to them.
We invest heavily in a recruitment policy and top class facilities to attract employees who will make the grade: Many of our College facilities are operating as commercial businesses alongside everyday teaching. This opens up a multitude of diverse job roles for our workforce. You could be based on our working farm, in our Construction Centre or our training bar and restaurant, gym, motor vehicle garage, motor sports workshop or hair and beauty salon.
