Award winner Alex Mamantzi

Our administrator, Alex Mamantzi, was a winner in the Glu Recruitment Office Hero Awards 2021.

Glu Recruitment’s fourth annual Office Hero Awards were held at Leopold Hotel, Sheffield, and Alex received the Special Mention Award.

Alex was nominated for her work on a project to introduce new ways of learning for students through virtual tours of 13 museums around the world.

Julia Davies, Talent United Enterprise Officer at Barnsley College, works as part of the team who nominated Alex for her outstanding work. Julia said: “Alex is an exceptional member of staff and a true inspiration to others. She is bringing her culture, sharing it with the students and educating them on alternative cultures whilst showing the students different ways of learning, she’s just fantastic.”

“I have never won an award before. I never expected to get nominated for anything like this, in my mind I’m just an Administrator doing my job.”

Alex added: “I have never won an award before, so this was a big surprise for me! I never expected to get nominated for anything like this, in my mind I’m just an Administrator doing my job. I felt so proud and happy, and I wish my parents could see what I have achieved so far!!”
