New Students 14-16 (School years 10 and 11)

We will be with you every step of the way.

If you are currently at school, then you need to speak to your school about applying on your behalf for our Skills Academy provision.

If you are Electively Home Educated (EHE), then visit 14-16 provision at Barnsley College for more information.

We are continuing with interviews during the summer. A tutor from the 14-16 delivery team will ring you to have a chat.

Our 14-16 students will need to enrol in person, along with their parent/guardian, as they will need to sign the paperwork.

Direct Entry and new Electively Home Educated (EHE) students will be invited in to an enrolment appointment before the start of term.

Skills Academy students will enrol in their department on their first day.

Yes, you will be sent a letter with details of a quieter enrolment session. You will meet the support workers who will guide you through the process.

Please contact our Direct Entry team on 01226 216 216 who will inform the subject area and suggest an alternative date.

Your enrolment letter will state which campus to enrol at. Visit our Campuses page to familiarise yourself with the campus.

We understand that your future plans may change, and you may still not be sure on what career path to take.

If you are attending our Skills Academy provision and would like to apply for a different course then you need to speak to your school about this first.

Those who are attending Direct Entry or our Electively Home Educated (EHE) provision should discuss this with our staff at enrolment.

The new term starts week commencing Monday 4 September 2023 Your tutor will provide all the details about your induction and timetable when you enrol.
