Business students visit Amsterdam

L-R: Samuel Kitcheman, Samuel Saunders, Chad Walls, Alex Newton, Bradley Marples and Beth Sweetman.

Our Accounting and Business students visited Amsterdam to enhance their knowledge of international marketing.

The three-day mini cruise provided the students with an opportunity to gain experience of how businesses market their products and ensure customers are satisfied with them. The students spent the remainder of the visit seeing the sights of Amsterdam, a city famous for its artistic heritage and varied culture.

“I’ve grown in confidence and I got to meet lots of new people.”

Level 1 Business and Management student, Beth Sweetman, 19, of Rockley Avenue, Birdwell, said: “I’ve never been to Amsterdam before, and I really enjoyed this new experience. I’ve grown in confidence and I got to meet lots of new people. I used my free time to explore this fantastic city which included seeing the flower market, Dam Square and the local shops.”

Steve Willmer, Tutorial Learning Mentor, added: “Educational visits like this provide our students with an opportunity to further develop their understanding of a particular subject and improve their team building and communication skills.”
