Business students visitAmsterdam (L-R) Samuel Knowles, Tom Harran, Daniel Barbrooke-Grubb, Max Gannon and Ben Hewitt

Our Business students visited Amsterdam to enhance their knowledge of international marketing.

The three-day mini cruise provided the students with an opportunity to gain experience of how businesses market their products and ensure customers are satisfied with them. The students spent the remainder of the visit seeing the sights of Amsterdam, a city famous for its artistic heritage and varied culture.

Level 3 Business student Olivia Woolhouse, 18, of Parkgate, Goldthorpe said: “I’ve never been on a ferry or to Amsterdam before, but I enjoyed this new experience. I used my free time to explore this fantastic city, visit the National Amsterdam Museum and the local shops.”

Daniel Barbrooke-Grubbe, 18, of Park Hollow, Wombwell, added: “This was totally new for me as I’ve never been abroad without my parents before, but I loved it! I experienced the sights and the culture of this diverse city. I’d definitely recommend visiting Amsterdam.”

Steve Willmer, Tutorial Learning Mentor, added: “Educational visits like this provide our students with an opportunity to further develop their understanding of a particular subject and improve their team building and communication skills.”
