Our Catering and Hospitality students visited Paris to enhance their knowledge of French cuisine and culture.

The three-day trip provided the students with an opportunity to see how Boulangeries and Patisseries operate and achieve customer satisfaction.

The students also saw the sights of Paris including Le Monument a la Republique and the Arc de Triomphe. They shopped on the Avenue Des Champs-Elysees, walked through the gardens of the Louvre museum and ate in a French bistro where some students had Cuisses de Grenouilles (frogs’ legs) and Escargot (snails).

Martyn Hollingsworth, Catering and Hospitality Course Leader at the College, said: “The students were a credit to themselves and the College. Educational visits like this provide our students with an opportunity to further develop their understanding of a particular subject.

“We will get some feedback from the students and use this to plan visits for next year and, as always, I’d tell any of our students coming to the department in September to start saving now!”
