Barnsley College and Barnsley Sixth Form College will close on Thursday 17 December 2020 for the Christmas break.
We will re-open at 8.30am on Monday 4 January to vulnerable students and children of key workers who have specific arrangements made with their tutor only.
The College will open from Monday 11th January for students in our Year 13 cohort and Year 12 students studying Core Maths, Further Maths, Health & Social Care, Criminology, Medical Science and I.T. These students are all classed as being in an exam year group. In the meantime all classes will commence online from 4th January for all students.
We would like to wish our students and staff a well-earned break over the festive period and look forward to welcoming you all back in the New Year.
COVID-19 testing plans at College
In line with the Government’s recent announcement on COVID-19 testing in educational institutions, Barnsley College has begun planning for on-site testing to take place in January 2021.
Staying safe over Christmas
We hope that everyone stays in good health over the break. However, we are required to continue with identifying “close contacts” and informing them of the need to self isolate for staff and students who test positive for Covid-19 up to the 23 December.
If anyone does test positive please complete and submit the form below:
Once you have submitted the form we will be in touch with you to identify the contacts and to send relevant information to you.
