Staff, students and business professionals came together at Barnsley College to learn more about the effective use of videos in marketing.
The video marketing masterclass was delivered by Talent United, Barnsley College’s employer engagement initiative which aims to bridge the gap between education and employment, in conjunction with Novus Marketing Solutions, a next-generation marketing company specialising in the effective use of modern marketing techniques. Attendees learnt about the importance of different types of videos in marketing, how best to use these and how to create their own.
Enterprise Team Leader, Jess Widdowson, oversees the Talent Untied programme she said: “It’s hugely important to work collaboratively with partners to provide students with invaluable experiences that raise their aspirations, develop their employability skills and open up the platforms that allow them to discuss potential career paths.
“At Barnsley College we envisage enriching the future labour market by creating a generation of work-ready students that are aware of the careers available to them and it is events like these that do exactly that.”
Barnsley College’s next Masterclass on Wednesday 6 November focuses on the use of augmented reality and interactive presentations within business.
