College launch racial justice project

We have just began a partnership with Leaders Unlocked as they unveil an all-new initiative to give young people across the country a voice on racial justice.

Leaders Unlocked are a social enterprise that work across education, policing, health and justice to help organisations involve the people who matter and shape decision-making for the better. The shiny-new initiative is named Student Commission on Racial Justice and is being rolled out at a total of 8 other colleges; we are one of just two college’s in South Yorkshire to be taking part.

The Student Commission on Racial Justice is open to all our students for application, with four places up for grabs on the team. Students who are successful in their application will be given a platform to have a collective voice on racial justice, share their views and experiences and to make recommendations for government, education and other sectors to take account of. Using innovative co-creation methods, peer-to-peer engagement and role models, the project will move beyond traditional top-down educational approaches.

If you are a student with us and you are interested in becoming part of the Student Commission on Racial Justice please fill out the application form below and follow the instructions for submission.
