Staff from our Creative and Digital Industries department are using their expertise to produce 3D visors for Barnsley Hospital.

Digital Industries Programme Manager Jessica Lee-Henderson and Creative Industries Technician Bradley Sharp are aiming to make 600 visors over the Easter weekend after using the College’s printing and cutting equipment to create a successful prototype.

The visors will be worn by hospital staff to prevent the spread of Covid-19 when they are treating patients.

The doctors, nurses and wider team are doing such an amazing job

Jessica said: “Bradley and I feel very humbled to be able to help in a small way. These visors will be so helpful to the hospital. The doctors, nurses and wider team are doing such an amazing job and to be able to support them is an incredible feeling.”
